ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသည္ ကမၻာ့အရည္အေသြးအေကာင္းဆံုး ေက်ာက္စိမ္းထြက္ရွိသည့္ႏိုင္ငံျဖစ္သည္။ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းဟု ေယဘုယ်အားျဖင့္ ေခၚေ၀ၚေသာ္လည္း Jadeite (ေဂ်ဒိုက္) ႏွင့္ Nephrite (နက္ဖရိုက္) ဟူ၍ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းအမ်ိဳးကြဲႏွစ္မ်ိဳးရွိသည္။ အဆိုပါႏွစ္မ်ိဳးအနက္မွ Jadeite ေက်ာက္စိမ္းသည္ ရွားပါး၍ အရည္အေသြးေကာင္းမြန္သည့္အျပင္ အျမင္အားျဖင့္လည္း လွပေသာ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းအမ်ိဳးအစားျဖစ္သည္။
